1. The submitted manucripts have not been previously published and they are not under consideration for other publication.
  2. Manuscripts should be written in English in Micro Soft Word document (DOCX/DOC), single-spaced, font 12, Times New Roman in A4 paper 4,000-7.000 words in length including references and appendices.
  3. The manuscript can be based on a research paper, which reports interesting and relevant research, or non-research papers, which provide detailed, contextualized reports of aspects of ELT.
  4. Manuscripts submitted to English Ideas may have only up to five authors. Each author may only propose one manuscript per issue. Additionally, an author's name may appear only once per issue, regardless of whether he/she is a single author or is listed as the first, second, or any subsequent author. This policy helps maintain a diverse range of contributions within each volume.
  5. Every manuscript should conform to the APA Style Manual. All sources mentioned in the manuscript must be mentioned in References, and all sources stated in the references must also be cited in the manuscript.
  6. Authors are suggested to ensure that at least one publication from English Ideas, which aligns with your paper's topic, is included in the references. Citing relevant articles from English Ideas serves several important purposes: it demonstrates authors’ engagement with the existing body of work within English Ideas’s community, enriches the context and depth of the research, and ensures that the work contributes to and dialogues with ongoing scholarly discussions addressed in English Ideas. It also extends the possibility of the work to be cited.
  7. Each manuscript will be checked for its similarity index using Turnitin. The editorial team reserves the right to reject manuscripts that contain a similarity rate exceeding 10%. Only manuscripts with an overall similarity index of 10% or less are considered for publication.
  8. Peer reviewers will review articles. The editors reserve the right to edit the article for format consistency without altering the substance.
  9. Manuscripts should be sent in Microsoft Word format through Make a submission.
  10. All manuscripts must be sent by uploading them to the Open Journal System (OJS). First, the author must register an account. Next, the author needs to log in using the registered account, then make a submission in the system. Submissions sent by email will not be processed.
  11. English Ideas only provides online publication.
  12. Contributors whose articles are rejected would get written information. The rejected article would not be sent back unless it is requested by the contributor.
  13. Contributors should consult the current Guide for contributors before submitting articles, as this contains important information about the focus & scope, format, length, and referencing style. Articles submitted without following the Guidelines will be rejected. Authors are welcome to revise their submissions to meet these criteria; however, revised manuscripts must be submitted as new submissions.
  14. Authors can expect a period of one to three months from submission to acceptance, assuming that no more than minor revisions are required.
  15. The editorial team reserves the right to turn down manuscripts without stating the reasons.
